In the year 1930, Seth Piramal ji laid the foundation for women's education in Rajasthan in a town called Bagar.
He did this in challenging circumstances as the practice of female infanticide was prevalent in India in those days and even more so in Rajasthan.
Seth Piramal ji wanted to bring about "social reforms" and wanted to do away with social evils such as Dowry, Sati and female infanticide.
He came up with the revolutionary idea of educating and thus empowring girls. Being an eminent industrialist and a great visionary, he recognized the need and significance of girl's education, for the betterment and uplitment of our society, as well as of our nation at large.
Students usually have the option to choose elective courses based on their interests and career aspirations. These could include subjects like Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Computer Science etc.
